What you need to know

We do our best to keep you and your baby together. After delivery, for stable newborns, this is the ideal time for you to hold your newborn baby skin to skin on your chest.

St. Lucie Medical Center will soon offer the St. Lucie and Martin County communities a designated OB ER for patients requiring emergency pre-term and obstetric care at any time. The OB ER is staffed by an obstetrician and will be supported by anesthesiology and neonatology providers on the premises. The team is immediately available to address the patient’s clinical needs.
